Ok, so it's not a comic book character that's radioactive, it's me, but hopefully more people will read this. :)

I had a scan today and was injected with a radioactive dye (and I don't glow in the dark-damn). So, long story short, I can't see DD for 24 hours and worse- I can't breastfeed for 48!!!! Augh!!!!

I think my milk supply will be ok since I pumped 10 oz in 2 sessions today, but I may need help with the "no booby" rule!!!!! What the heck am I going to do tomorrow when I can play with her, but not nurse her????? Help! Is she going to hate me? She's already started to lift up my shirt on her own.

I know this is a temporary thing and will pass, but how did you guys deal with an abrupt weaning if you had to do it? (Worst part is she always gets nursed to sleep- at least it's the weekend!)

Talkin' about hey now.

Oy vey, Eli! I wish I had some advice for you. Neither of my daughters would've been able to have me around without nursing. Night weaning alone was horrible. I'm so sorry. Just keep pumping to keep up your milk supply. I hope you have some frozen so she's at least getting some mama milk while you're waiting for the all clear.

As far as getting her to sleep, you could ask DH to do it. Maybe she won't expect it if it's not you getting her to bed. I'm soooo sorry. This must be killing you!

I don't have any words of wisdom, but hoping that everything goes smoothly!

Master of the mommy universe, chances are I am racing about town in the minivan, listening to a dvd that I have heard 20 times, fielding questions about all manners of things while handing over snacks on our way to the next event.

Not too bad! She did ok with it, and my husband did a really good job of taking care of her. The worst part was being in the same house and not being able to even be in the same room!
